About Me

A life spent on film sets, teaching truth

Mayank Dixit is a Casting Director, Acting Coach and Performance Consultant with over 18 years of experience in the Indian film industry. Since 2008, he has worked across feature films, independent cinema, television commercials, advertisements, actor training and performance development — building a reputation for discovering talent and shaping authentic screen performances.

He began his career assisting renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai on Yuvvraaj, later serving as Casting Director for Kaanchi, and went on to work alongside acclaimed filmmaker Rajan Khosa on Gattu, which received a Special Mention at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival.

His credits include Poorna: Courage Has No Limit (Rahul Bose), Harami (Busan International Film Festival), Angoothi (Kunal Kohli), Crazxy (Sohum Shah) and several other notable projects. Beyond casting and actor training, Mayank is frequently engaged as an On-Set Acting Coach and Performance Consultant, working closely with directors and performers to maintain emotional continuity, performance consistency and character authenticity during production.

He is particularly known for his work with child actors — designing immersive preparation processes that help young performers deliver natural and emotionally truthful performances on screen — across projects such as Gattu, Torbaaz, the Birsa Munda historical project, and The Peasant starring Dev Patel.
